Hellloooo everyone back home!!!!
A VERY happy and enthusiastic first post from the lovely town of Sperlonga :) I am also equally happy to report that the clouds have parted and the sun is shining!!! Our first full day in Sperlonga has been a long and interesting one! This morning class was centred on Matisse and his painting style. The students had an opportunity to paint with bold colours in a pattern and style similar to the master himself. With the weather working in their favour this morning Tanya allowed them to paint outside. Here is some work from some of our artists:

This afternoon we were met with a *bit of a thunder storm! Some of the group was even caught in the storm, but everyone made it in safely, and after waiting about an hour, the storm passed, the clouds parted and some of the group went swimming!!!

It is almost dinner time, and after some lounging in the lounge, the group is breaking up and enjoying and discovering the sights, foods and smells that Sperlonga has to offer.
So far, Sperlonga has impressed!!! Some notable quotes from some of the group:
'its calm and exciting at the same time. Everything is beautiful' - Melina L.
'its difficult to put into words, isn't it?' - Kim M.
Here is to our first full day of our trip.. may it set a standard for all our days to come!
Cheers from Sperlonga!

Here are some more pictures of our day! More pictures to come!
